You can assemble your very own 40′ boxcar using this Athearn Blue Box kit.  It comes with everything you need to build a handsome HO scale model railroad car except for the glue.  This kit includes a fully molded boxcar 2-color shell with black painted top and ends and boxcar brown sides with crisp light gray lettering.  The box car has road name and numbers printed on the ends of the cars.  The roadname is Chicago & Eastern Illinois (C&EI or CEI).  The box car simulates a steel shell with simulated metal roof walk and simulated wood floor.  Please look at the pictures carefully to see all the items included inside the box to make this kit.  It is believed that the factory sealed small envelope included with this model contains wheels, trucks, screws, coupler box covers, hornhook couplers, and brake wheel, according to the instruction manual.  The resulting car will have frame-mounted couplers.  It is new.  It has been opened, examined and pictured.  It will be a fun model to build and add to your model train collection.  No painting is required, but you may wish to weather it to your liking.

This is a consigned item.  It comes in the original Athearn blue box.
