This locomotive is believed to be part of one of Lionel’s Polor Express Train Sets. It was not consigned with any train cars and it was it non-working condition when it was received plus it missing its sound tender car. The original features of this locomotive are supposed to be as follows:
– Electric locomotive controlled by remote
– Movie sound clip
– On/Off switches for smoke and sound
– RailSounds RC sound system with steam chuffing and engine background sounds, whistle, bell, and user activated announcements.
– Operating headlight
– Puffing smoke unit
– Operating coupler on rear of tender
– Powerful maintenance free motor
– Two traction tires
– Diecast metal locomotive body
– Large pilot and headlight lens shield.
A lot of attention was given to this locomotive when it was first received. Originally, it was provided without a tender or any method of operating it. It is believed to be a LionChief model, but neither I nor Lionel has been able to get this locomotive to pair with either the Universal Remote control that I bought for it or any other controller. I can get it to make noise through the tender that I obtained for it from Lionel, but thus far, it will not move. At the time I had Lionel take a look at it, they were moving into a new facility and didn’t have all parts and accessories available to them the day I was there. So, as of right now, this locomotive is not working. Physically, I replaced bot pilot sets as they were eitehr broken or missing. There is NO Guarantee that anyone can get this locomotive working again, but you are certainly welcome to try. Keep in mind that ALL SALES ARE FINAL and the locomotive is SOLD AS IS. I do not think that I have made a test video of this locomotive as it has been consigned for several years now.
