N Atlas 3312 Chattahoochee 40′ Plug Door Box Car CIRR #1275

N scale Atlas 3312 Chattahoochee 40′ Plug Door Box Car CIRR #1275 (Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad).

This Atlas Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad (CIRR) 40′ Plug Door Box Car is very nice.  It features high flange metal wheels that work best on code 80 track, sprung Rapido couplers, a box car light gray paint scheme with crisp black and red lettering, plus a 2-color blue and red logo.  The shell is full of molded details, simulated metal roof walk (made of plastic), brake wheel, ladders, and stirrups, as well as door details and simulated metal walls.  The underbody details are great too.  The sidewalls include the following painted slogan: “BETTER BY A DAM SITE”.  The logo also appears with CHATTAHOOCHEE INDUSTRIAL RAILROAD sandwiched between blue lines.  The road number is: 1275 (CIRR1275).

The box car comes in its original clear plastic jewel case.  The car was not RUN / OPERATED by me or the consignor.  I opened the car, examined it, and staged it in pictures with other items, but did not operate it in a consist.  It does not have any indications of being pulled on a set of tracks.  It is believed that this item is practically new, opened, and has never been operated.

This box car would make a fine addition to your collection, layout, or model railroad empire.
