This is Lionel’s American Flyer 2016 version of this Diesel Switcher. It was refurbished by me using parts ordered directly from Lionel in Concord, NC.

ASSESSMENT
This Minneapolis & St Louise Diesel switcher is a very good running engine. It has been seller refurbished with brand new front and rear truck assemblies and front operating coupler. This engine runs on conventional O scale AC or DC power. There are a few very small spots where the paint is nicked. This locomotive is not sound equipped nor does it have Bluetooth or infrared controls. It does not come in the original packaging or with any paperwork. Please review the photos and video carefully.
About the Video
A long time ago when I made the first video, I only had a few pieces of S scale track so the test run in the video shows very short movement. The sound that you hear is being generated from a New Haven RailSound Boxcar that is also on the track and may be available for sale in another one of my listings. The video was taken during the Gastonia Strava-Ganza train show on June 9th, 2019 to demonstrate that this locomotive runs. The price sticker on top is the asking price at the train show.
Update: On 5/23/2021, I had this locomotive with me at another train show. An exhibition S scale club (named in the video) was kind enough to run the locomotive for me. This time, as you can see in the second video, the locomotive was able to stretch out and it runs very well in both forward and reverse. It would make an excellent addition to your S scale collection and model railroad. Priced reduced to move this as this is the last remaining S scale rolling stock that I have for sale.
