HO scale CON-COR by Rivarossi EMD E-8 Powered A + Dummy A Set #912 NORTHERN PACIFIC Diesel Engine Locomotives.

This Limited-Edition Collector’s set of 2 Northern Pacific E8-A diesel locomotives is very impressive.  The 2 locomotives come in an imitation wood grain covered collector’s box with blue die-cut foam insert.  The condition of the locomotives is slightly used with less than 5 minutes of runtime on my layout.  This set is pre-owned and consigned.  It is believed that the consignor did not operate this pair of locomotives and their first runtime was provided by me when I tested it.  See them running in the linked video.

One NP EMD E-8A is Powered and has an operating headlight.  The other NP EMD E8-A is a non-lighted Dummy engine.  Both locos have NMRA standard hornhook couplers, high-flange metals wheels, and are beautifully painted in Northern Pacific Gray/Green w/Yellow accent scheme.  The powered unit has some rubber tires on some of the wheels (please see the pictures for these).  Only the rear truck of the powered unit drives that locomotive.  It appears to be a powerful motor based on the way the locomotive operates.  When connected end-to-end, the powered unit can pull and push the dummy locomotive around 18″ radius curve tracks.  On my layout, I have a tight incline coming out of a curve that challenges the locomotive.  Otherwise, it runs nice and smooth.

Make this set part of your model railroad empire by getting your hands on it as soon as possible.  Look at my other listings often because the consignor consigned many Northern Pacific passenger and freight cars as well as other locomotives too.
